Brittney serves as the Executive Director of the Office of Civil Rights and Investigations. She joined WCM as an Employee Relations Investigator in 2020. With the establishment of the Office of Institutional Equity in July 2020, she took on the roles of Investigator/Title IX Coordinator, Assistant Director, and Director before being elevated to her current role. In her current role, she oversees civil rights and human resources investigations, as well as the student disability accommodation process.
Prior to joining Weill Cornell Medicine, Brittney served as an employment defense litigator, equal employment opportunity officer, and held various investigator roles in both health care and higher education settings throughout the New York metropolitan area. She also has extensive experience handling ADA accommodations.
Brittney’s educational background includes a Juris Doctor degree from Howard University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in forensic psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Brittney received her Title IX Coordinator and Investigator certifications from the Association of Title IX Administrators (ATIXA) and SUNY’s Student Conduct Institute (SCI). She has also earned certificates in Human Resources Management and Diversity & Inclusion for HR from Cornell University’s ILR School. Brittney is a Certified Praesidium Guardian, which demonstrates her commitment to abuse and professional sexual misconduct prevention.

- Associate Director, Office of Civil Rights & Title IX Coordinator
Shaunesha Crawford serves as the Associate Director of the Office of Civil Rights and Title IX Coordinator at Weill Cornell Medicine (WCM), a role she assumed in March 2024.
Prior to joining WCM, Shaunesha served as Deputy Director of the Investigation Division at a New York City government agency. In that role, she led and managed sensitive investigations involving Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) issues, Title IX matters, sexual assault, and internal affairs. She also played a key role in developing division policies and designing departmental training programs. Her broader public service experience includes work as a crime victim advocate and special investigator within the New York City workforce. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to promoting fairness, accountability, and justice in institutional settings.
Shaunesha holds a master’s degree in criminal justice and graduate certificates in Civil Rights & Title IX Investigations and Criminal Investigations. She earned dual bachelor’s degrees in criminal justice and Sociology from Hofstra University and an associate’s degree in forensic science from the City University of New York. She is also a certified New York State Peace Officer and NYC Special Patrolman and has received her EEO certification from the NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services.

- Civil Rights Investigator
Carolyn joined WCM in January 2022, bringing with her nearly a decade of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) experience, having conducted internal discrimination and harassment investigations within public sector organizations. She also has extensive experience developing and implementing EEO trainings and has worked alongside various employee resource groups to promote activities fostering inclusion in the workplace.
Carolyn earned her Juris Doctor degree at the Temple University Beasley School of Law in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and a bachelor’s degree in literature and Africana studies at Binghamton University, State University of New York. She also holds certifications in mediation services and Title VI administration.

- Assistant Director, Intake and Complaint Analytics
Alexander joined WCM in December 2021 and serves as the Assistant Director, Intake & Complaint Analytics. Prior to joining Weill Cornell Medicine, Alexander served as Director of Title VI Compliance at MTA New York City Transit, where he investigated Title VI complaints and developed programs to ensure equitable service to customers and compliance with federal regulations. Alexander brings with him over 15 years of investigative experience, having worked as an investigator in the education, transportation, and the private sectors throughout New York City.
Alexander's educational background includes a master’s degree in public administration from Long Island University and a bachelor’s degree in criminology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Alexander also earned an Equal Employment Opportunity Studies and a Human Resources Analytics certificate from Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations.

- Case Manager & Disability Specialist
Devin joined WCM in November 2021 as the institution’s first Student Accommodations Coordinator before being elevated to her current role of Case Manager & Disability Specialist. In this capacity, Devin serves as a case manager for the Office of Civil Rights and Investigations, and also works closely with WCM’s graduate and medical schools to provide equal access and opportunity for all students.
Prior to her role at WCM, Devin held multiple roles in fair housing. Through investigation, education and policy efforts, Devin fought housing discrimination throughout the Hudson Valley, with a focus on disability and LGBTQ+ concerns. Devin’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in urban and environmental policy from Cornell University.

- Civil Rights Investigator
Leonardo joined WCM in March 2024 and serves as a Civil Rights Investigator. Prior to joining Weill Cornell Medicine, Leonardo served as the Title IX Investigator and Prevention Specialist for a private college in Central New York. Leonardo has experience conducting investigations into alleged incidents of sexual misconduct, leading interpersonal violence prevention and education efforts, developing institutional policy, and ensuring institutional compliance.
Leonardo has a bachelor’s degree from Ithaca College, where he studied sociology, criminology, and Spanish. Through the Association of Title IX Administrators (ATIXA), Leonardo is certified in conducting investigations and report writing for higher education institutions.
